“Tenable” questions, Wednesday 12 October 2022 [Series 6 Episode 17]

A new series of ITV quiz show “Tenable” began last month. Here are the questions and answers for Wednesday 12 October 2022, Series 6 Episode 16 (S6Ep17).

Round 4: The first 10 actors to play the Doctor in ‘Dr Who’ [From the first Doctor in 1963 to the 10th Doctor; this only includes numbered Doctors, according to the canon of Doctors listed on the BBC’s doctorwho.tv website.]

Round 5 (The Captain’s Round): 10 last names of people called Sarah [“The ‘Tenable’ Tower will show 10 descriptions of famous people commonly known by the first name Sarah; we are looking for the 10 corresponding last names.”]

The clues: Presenter of Channel 4’s ‘Property Ladder’ / Original Christine in ‘The Phantom of the Opera’ / Designed Kate Middleton’s wedding dress / ‘Blue Peter’ presenter from 1980 / Plays Catherine in ‘Happy Valley’ / Comedian with 2021 ‘Bobby Dazzler’ tour / Governor of Alaska from 2006 / Actor in ‘Cutting It’ and ‘Bancroft’ / Paralympian gold medalist in cycling and swimming / Author of ‘Tipping the Velvet’

Final Round: : The first 10 words of five or more letters in ‘Karma Chameleon’ [The Culture Club 1983 #1 single; “for fairness …” because some versions begin with the word “desert” rather than “there’s”, neither of these words are acceptable answers; nor are the contracted words “doesn’t” of “didn’t”; does not include “Karma” or “Chameleon” as these words appear in the question.]
