Despite the name of the football club Brechin is not a city. As the following page on Undiscovered Scotland tells us: “The UK Government maintains a list of all UK cities, and Scotland has seven cities on the list: Glasgow, Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Dundee, Inverness, Stirling and Perth”.
