Here are the questions and answers from the first “All Stars” edition of ITV quiz show “Tenable”, first shown on Sunday 5 May 2019. Team name: The Medal Heads, captained by Iwan Thomas, a very personable team of sporting medal winners. Here are the team members, along with the charities they were playing for:
Tessa Sanderson, the Little Princesses: “… for young kids who’ve lost their hair through cancer, and what happens is they get wigs bought and everything like that. Just to give them a little bit of hope and life and keep them looking beautiful as well”.
Kris Akabussi, The Become Charity: “When you’re a youngster, and for whatever reason you can’t stay with your mum and dad and you go into the children’s home, that’s a massive step, and because I was a care leaver it’s really important for me to do stuff on their behalf”.
Sharron Davies, Heidi’s Heroes: “a friend of mine who I used to compete with, who sadly died, and family set up a charity to make sure that children that come from deprived families that don’t have enough money or don’t get the opportunity … can learn to swim. And sadly drowning is still the biggest killer of under-15s in the world. It’s important that we make sure children can swim”.
Jade Johnson, Teens Unite [7 teenagers every day are diagnosed with cancer, they offer support]
Iwan Thomas, Saints Foundation [Based in Southampton, for people who have had issues such as drugs, alcohol, or who are homeless, getting them back into the community.]
It’s listed as S3Ep83 on my multi-channel box, and there’s a new theme, with multiple voices singing, “Tenable All Stars”. The format here is the same as other pieces about “Tenable” on this Blog: a list of the challenges, a note on how the team fared, and then the answers.
