Starting with this piece in early September I have been posting weekly updates about the latest series of the ITV quiz show “Tenable”. It ran from Monday 3 September to Friday 12 October. As I noted in the first of these weekly updates, “I have beCheen meaning to do something like this for a while, having made notes on earlier episodes this year, but didn’t realize how long it would take or how many words it would involve.”
Since Monday 15 October the show has continued to occupy the 3pm slot on ITV (and remains on “series record” on our multi-channel box) but the episodes being broadcast are repeats, the first of them from November 2017 and the rest of them from February 2018 onwards.
At some point I will post the questions and answers from these repeated episodes, based on notes taken earlier in the year, but in the meantime here are the lists from the “Tenable” episodes broadcast in April and May 2018. This is “raw” data, without the kind of analysis I attempted for the episodes in September and October 2018. The information from the shows that are currently being repeated will take a lot more tidying up than the lists below. When they are ready I will post a link here.
NOTE: The list of 10 correct answers follows immediately after each question, so if you want to attempt any of these lists yourself don’t read too far ahead.
[Items marked ** in a heading are lists where I managed to get all 10; * indicates that I got 8 or 9 out of 10.]
If you include each number as a word, there are over 6,200 words in the rest of this piece.
